Tucson, AZ (December 25, 2025) – Tucson police are searching for a driver connected to a deadly hit-and-run involving a pedestrian early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred in the 3200 block of North Oracle Road near Fort Lowell Road.
Officers with the Tucson Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from critical injuries in the roadway.
Authorities later identified the victim as Anthony Steven Aurdal, age 30. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
Investigators reported that witness accounts and roadway evidence showed Aurdal was lying in the northbound lanes of Oracle Road when a vehicle struck him. The driver did not stop to provide help and continued traveling northbound before officers arrived.
Police described the suspect vehicle as an early 2000s, light-colored Ford Taurus. Officials have not released further identifying details about the driver at this time.
