Phoenix, AZ – Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash at 35th Ave & Roosevelt St

Phoenix, AZ (November 11, 2025) – A man lost his life after a hit-and-run crash on Sunday, November 9, at 35th Avenue and Roosevelt Street.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. when officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, they found 42-year-old Mark Knapp in critical condition. Emergency responders provided immediate aid and transported Knapp to a nearby hospital. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Authorities said the driver involved fled the scene and did not render assistance. No description of the suspect’s vehicle has been released. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
