Parker, AZ – Boat Falls From Trailer in SR 95 Collision Near Bill Williams Bridge
Parker, AZ (July 16, 2025) – A unique collision involving a boat and two vehicles was reported along State Route 95 near the Bill Williams Bridge on Monday morning, July 14. Authorities responded around 11:02 a.m. to the southbound lanes near the La Paz and Mohave County line.
According to Raul Garcia, public information officer for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a passenger car collided with an SUV that was towing a trailer loaded with a boat. The impact of the crash caused the boat to come off its trailer, landing in the middle of the roadway. The SUV ended up partially blocking the road while the sedan was pushed into a nearby guardrail.
Images shared on social media captured the scene showing the damaged trailer, the boat sitting in the road, and the car crumpled against the guardrail. First responders arrived quickly to assess the situation and treat those involved. At least one person was hurt and received medical attention at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
Traffic on the southbound side of State Route 95 was impacted for over two hours as crews worked to clear the boat, trailer debris, and damaged vehicles. According to Garcia, the road was fully reopened by 1:30 p.m. on July 14. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation by Arizona DPS.
We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.
Car Accidents in Arizona
Motor vehicle accidents like this one are a reminder of how quickly situations can change on Arizona’s roads. According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, there are thousands of crashes reported each year, with many resulting in injuries that can impact victims and their families for months or even years. Staying aware and cautious is essential while traveling throughout Arizona. Understanding some common injuries from vehicle collisions can help people know what to watch for after an accident.
Below are some injuries that victims may experience after an incident on Arizona roadways:
- Soft Tissue Injuries: Soft tissue damage is one of the most common outcomes in crashes. This can include sprains, strains, or whiplash, which may not present symptoms immediately. It is important for victims to monitor their health closely and seek medical evaluation even if pain feels minor at first. Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent long-term complications.
- Head Injuries: Head injuries, including concussions or traumatic brain injuries, are another possible result. These can range from mild to severe and may cause memory issues, headaches, or loss of concentration. Immediate medical care and ongoing monitoring are crucial to reduce the risk of lasting cognitive effects.
- Spinal Cord and Back Injuries: The force of impact can lead to herniated discs or other spinal injuries. Back pain may appear gradually, and without proper treatment, these conditions can limit mobility and quality of life. Physical therapy and, in some cases, surgery might be needed to regain normal function.
- Broken Bones: Fractures are a frequent injury, especially in high-impact collisions. Depending on the severity, victims may require surgery, immobilization, or physical rehabilitation. Healing times vary and can significantly disrupt daily life and work responsibilities.
- Emotional Trauma: Car accidents can leave deep emotional scars. Anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder are not uncommon and should be addressed with mental health professionals. Support from family, friends, and counseling can be vital for recovery.
