Phoenix, AZ (December 10, 2025) – Authorities have released the identity of the motorcyclist who died in the Tuesday, December 9, multi-vehicle crash on the westbound Loop 202 near the 32nd Street on-ramp. Officials confirmed the victim as 41-year-old Christopher Cartheuser of Tempe.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Cartheuser was riding westbound when he approached slowing traffic around 8:45 a.m. Troopers say he rear-ended an SUV that had reduced speed due to congestion.
