Phoenix, AZ – Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Crash at 11th Ave & Carefree Hwy

Phoenix, AZ (November 11, 2025) – A bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Tuesday, November 11, in north Phoenix.

The collision occurred around 9 a.m. near 11th Avenue and Carefree Highway. Police said first responders arrived to find an off-duty firefighter already providing aid to the injured cyclist. Paramedics then transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

According to investigators, the woman driving the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers. Police do not believe that impairment or intoxication played a role in the crash.
