Show Low, AZ (September 17, 2025) – Authorities have released the identity of the driver killed in the devastating crash that also claimed the lives of two firefighters earlier this week.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that 46-year-old Angela Marie Bouck, of Pinedale, was the driver of the vehicle that veered into oncoming traffic on State Rte 260 late Tuesday night. Around 10:15 p.m., her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a Timber Mesa Fire District ambulance head-on.
Both firefighters inside the ambulance, 31-year-old Brenna Kulikowski and 21-year-old Damon Thompson, tragically died at the scene along with Bouck. Officials noted that the firefighters had just completed a patient transport and were returning to Show Low when the crash occurred.
Kulikowski had served with Timber Mesa for three years, while Thompson was nearing the completion of his first year with the department. Fire officials described the wreck as “horrific” and said the loss has deeply impacted the tight-knit community.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the families, friends, and colleagues of those who lost their lives in this tragic accident.
Head-On Collisions in Arizona
Head-on crashes are among the most severe and devastating types of roadway accidents. In Arizona, these collisions frequently happen on highways and rural roads where there may be limited visibility, sharp curves, or fewer barriers separating traffic. When two vehicles collide directly, the force of impact is often multiplied, leading to catastrophic or fatal injuries.
According to state traffic data, hundreds of people are killed in head-on collisions across Arizona every year. Many of these crashes are caused by driver error, such as crossing the centerline, fatigue, impairment, or distractions. Even a moment of inattention can cause a vehicle to drift into the opposite lane and result in a devastating outcome.
For surviving families, the aftermath of such tragedies is overwhelming. Beyond the emotional grief, there are often financial hardships, including funeral expenses, medical costs, and lost income. When a loved one’s death is the result of another driver’s actions, families may pursue a wrongful death claim. This legal action can help cover economic losses, provide compensation for emotional suffering, and hold negligent parties accountable.
Personal injury attorneys who handle wrongful death cases play a vital role in these situations. They investigate the facts of the crash, gather evidence, and work with experts to understand liability. Families can rely on legal guidance to help them navigate insurance claims and ensure they receive the compensation they deserve. While no settlement can replace the loss of a loved one, financial support can help ease the burden during an incredibly difficult time.
If you or someone you love has been impacted by a head-on collision in Arizona, it is important to seek experienced legal help quickly. Evidence can fade and insurance companies may attempt to reduce or deny claims without proper representation.
