Glendale, AZ (July 10, 2025) – One person was taken to the hospital following a head-on collision early Thursday morning in Glendale’s West Valley. Glendale Police say the crash happened just before 4 a.m. near the intersection of 63rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

Officers arriving at the scene discovered a white SUV and a white pickup work truck that had collided head-on in the roadway. Fire crews assisted in removing the driver of the SUV, who was then transported to a nearby hospital for additional medical care. The driver of the pickup truck did not require hospitalization. Police shut down Bethany Home Road between 59th Avenue and 67th Avenue for several hours while crews cleared the wreckage and investigators gathered information about what led up to the crash. The intersection was fully reopened by 6 a.m. At this time, Glendale Police say there is no indication that impairment played a role in the collision. An investigation remains ongoing to determine any contributing factors.

We hope the injured driver recovers quickly.
